No doubt then the Springboks will unleash the Wildebeest again (RG Snyman) to remove
Frankenstein.

Another fine looking specimen.

WC winner Maggie Alphonsi's 5 to watch:

1. Ardie Savea
Dynamic, explosive carrier. Quick over the ball.

2. Herschel Jantjies
Huge impact from bench. Game changer for final moments.

3. Tom Curry
Combination with Sam Underhill could be spectacular. Curry to stand out due to work at breakdown.

4. Cheslin Kolbe
Star in the making. Incredible pace and finisher.
Good kicking game. Taking skills from Sevens.

5. Rhys Patchell
Replacing Anscombe. Epitomises Welsh underdog mindset, which Gatland loves.

Russia 7-5 ahead after first quarter.

Not going to script so far.

In their warm up games Russia lost to an under strength Connaught side, and Jersey!

Japan and Russia played last year and it was a close game.

There is a pro Japanese league, doubt many of the Russians are professional, think the higher levels of stamina of the Japanese will tell in the second half

Eddie names close to first choice team to put Tonga to the sword. Best way to stope them coming over the top is to pass and kick the ball out wide. Also the 2nd youngest team to play in the WC. Watch out in 4 years!

1. Marler
2. George
3. Snicker
4. Itoje
5. Lawes
6. Curry
7. Underhill
8. Vunipola
9. Youngs
10. Ford
11. May
12. Farrell (c)
13. Tuliagi
14. Watson
15. Daly

The line for the Wallabies Fiji game is 14.5 and paying out 1.90...worth a punt?

Scotland aren’t one of the 7 teams with a Kiwi head coach so I don’t give them much of chance.

WTF you on about? He reached the final with an unfancied side. An unfancied side that beat the ABs on the way to that final.

No and no. What I wrote and what you quoted was quite precise. He only had a 58% winning ratio with the Wallabies and the Japanese team did very well against the Boks but didn’t get out of their pool. What are you disagreeing with?

Your contention that he wasn't successful with the Wallabies. He didn't have a great team and he reached the final with it, beating the much more fancied ABs along the way. Successful.

And what was the point of bringing up Japan not getting out of the group stage if not to imply that he didn't do well with them, given the context of this conversation?

As of today I'm officially supporting France. Tight game against Argentina, but there were some flashes of brilliance, and at looks like they're through to the quarters.
