The Galaxy Fold - tempted?

Post by Bastet » Sun Feb 24, 2019 3:28 am

The Galaxy Fold will launch on 26th April. It looks amazing but at a staggering $1,980, I won’t be switching.

Hope Apple copies the style and that the price drops.

My priorities for a phone are
0. Not Apple
1. Bat life
2. Portability
3. Screen size
4. Cost
5. Durability

If they somehow make the first three similar or better than a galaxy s or pixel then I'd consider it. The only time I'd unfold it is probably on the subway, and if I'm at home I can use my tablet, so I probably wouldn't get that much use from the fold out screen.

Portability is a concern, it’s (for obvious reasons) twice as thick as a normal phone. Durability also of course.

One for the early adopters.

Let's see how it develops.

Nah. I care more about having a headphone jack than a good camera. Having no camera is a deal breaker though.

If I want good photos I usually bring a dedicated camera

Phone commercials have turned into car commercials.
