...has invaded my laptop. I've tried several anti-malware apps, but none of them have cleared it. I've followed instructions to look for it in extensions and delete it, but there's nothing in my extensions that could be it, either on chrome or in windows.

Any ideas?

Not sure what youve caught, but whenevah my cpu has something i kant seeem to shake, i download malwarebytes free program and it has always found/eliminated the problem.....

Thanks. Malwarebytes didn't fixx it, but after days of googling, I found this, and it turned out to be a really simple fix.
