I've been binge watching The Wire (best TV show ever) and now I am mildly interested in Baltimore.
Baltimore is gnarly. There's not much nice about it. Headed north on the train up to Philly is the most destitute urban landscape you'll ever see outside of Chicago.

I'd live in Baltimore due to funk/cheap factor in much the same way I preferred to buy in Jersey City versus NYC. It's not too fixed up.

After Baltimore, you're in the zone of either the dying southern downtowns where they're desparately hanging up banners saying Knoxville!!! Looking' Goooood!!!! or postage stamp downtowns and sprawling exurbs like Charlotte or Atlanta. It's the last semi-alive urban place with some old buildings left standing till you get to Miami.

See, I love DC. I'm kind of disappointed in myself for it.

I'm disappointed in you too. However: Great trippy masonic lodges and that street with all the Ethiopian restaurants on it. Nope, can't think of a 3rd thing.

Too money-money.

I love it here. Always thought I'd settle in NYC, fell in love with DC. Have no idea about the street you mention - there are Ethiopian places everywhere here. It's crushingly expensive, but money is good.

She moved when someone cut her brake-line. After eight years of her living there, the only white woman for a square mile, they apparently thought she was a narc.

Admittedly, her new neighborhood is only a step better.

My last couch was broken by a fat sweet young couple I rented to. I don’t even imagine it was particularly vigorous sex.

My last love-in was probably the only arguably chubb, and still not really so. Robust, Hale, sure. By Baltimore standards, practically wan.

Most verily - not to mention a hairy, demented cunt.
