Valentine’s Day

Post by cowtown » Mon Feb 12, 2018 10:03 pm

What’s the plan?

I bought my sweetie a deluxe tire patching kit; we’re going fully inflated for the big day. I was a big rough on her after the Super Bowl, I had the Patriots and the over, so I’ll spend the day before fixing her up, letting the glue dry. Then I got her some nice adult diapers, they’ll go great with her school girl outfit and the teddy bear I bought her

It's going to be big, sexy time in Cowtown

I wish you and your pneumatic friend all the best.

Me, taking the Mrs to an early Valentines dinner, tonight (13th) as we're in the city dropping kids at a Paramore concert.

No price-loading restos for me. Bastards.

I could patch a few others up and we could call it an orgy. I've got a crawl space full of old girlfriends. When they get worn out, throwing them away doesn't seem right and I'm too lazy to dig a hole in the back yard so into the crawl

I am delivering flowers for some friends that own a florist shop. It's their busiest day of the year and could use the help. They pay 5 bucks per delivery and pay for my gas. But I'm not doing it for the money, I'm doing it because I like it. I was a part-time flower delivery boy in high school and always enjoyed the job. Everybody smiles when you bring flowers.

Man, Filipinos are absolutely bonkers for this 'holiday'. I've had multiple girls ask me if I'll be buying them anything. My Facebook feed is just hundreds and hundreds of posts about Valentine's day. Either singles joking or lamenting about being alone, or couples posting everything from flowers to dinner to giant teddy bears they're getting as gifts.

As well as a number of status updates to "in a relationship". Also, so far 4 private messages wishing me a happy valentine's day. It hasn't even started yet.

The massive pop-up flower market outside my office has been operating 24 hours a day since the weekend.

My sweetie is back home in Morocco this St. Valentines Day. So I have been going through our pics and making crazy alterations, etc. using the photo shop like apps. etc. and sending to him.

I've promised to take him to a beach resort for the weekend once he returns, in order to celebrate properly.

My man has a really bad mancold. We had plans to go out for dinner but I'm not sure I want to sit across a table in a nice restaurant from him if he's hacking up a lung and continually blowing phlegm out of his nose over the main course.

Last Friday was our wedding anniversary so I did the big bouquet of flowers and kick ass meal in top notch restaurant. Prior to getting married I had secretly hoped that celebrating wedding anniversary would allow me to over look V-Day. Not the case though.

Thinking hand made truffles and the high hard one.

Yesterday I saw the cutest little chocolate cakes in the bakery across the street. I will be buying one for myself tomorrow and eating it all myself (it really is very little, almost cupcake-sized). I've never cared for Valentine's day, even when I was encoupled so the cake is really going all out for me.

Weeknights are hard to go out, and honestly restaurants on VD tend to be a bit crazy. I am making a "special" dinner. Not all that special as it is crab cakes which I make fairly often but we will start with some good ole 1970's style shrimp cocktail. I will be picking up flowers on the way home and we will have cards for each other.

I worked with an obese black woman for a few years. She went out on maternity leave and I’d had no idea she was pregnant.
