McDonalds used to not allow you to buy apple pies before 11 AM because they were not part of the breakfast menu. I had tried to buy them early in places from the East coast all the way to Colorado, but none of them budged. But several years ago they decided to offer them all day long - even breakfast food can be had all day long.

Meat pie
Sausage roll
Come on England,
Score a goal!

Fucking northerners, fat bastards can't wait for their breakfast pies.

McDonalds has never been to Maine if they don't think of apple pie as a breakfast food.

Yeah, the exclamation point looks like an 'l'. I kept reading it that way, too.

1. What are they holding? It looks like crude pasties.

2. Wouldn't those "bags and bags" of pies be cold, if not frozen?

Say Aye to the Pie!

For music trivia buffs:
The Aberdeen musician featured in this movie worked as a session bass player in London and arranged and played on a 1980s UK #2 chart hit.

However, he doesn't like being reminded of it.

Can you guess why? (apart from the fact that he only got his £75 session fee)

Scottish butcher in the western suburbs in the 80's was prosecuted by the government for having to much meat in the pies....he fought them but was convicted...wouldn't pay the fine on principle..converted to warrant of apprehension..presents himself at cells with a media fanfare....lasted 20 minutes in remand as a few of his cell mates wanted to lift his kilt. Fine paid.

The couple in the OP are apparently serial complainers, and have had injuctions taken out against them by their neighbours for filming them and constantly lodging complaints.

And I want to know the answer to Glimpet's question.

His name is Mike Rae. You'll eventually find the answer with Google.

Fuck me, there are a lot of bloody Mike Raes. Three in Aberdeen. And one who plays bass for RSNO, who doesn't look like the right bloke.

After his Eurovision win my sister went to see Johnny Logan in concert in a nightclub in Wexford

Turns out Johnny didn't turn up, but that his replacement was of the afro-carribean persuasion.

That got a lot of laughs at the dinner table. For months.
