Just surfaced from an epic WC watching binge, and i think i saw the winners last night, both Belguim and France looked awesome, by far the most impressive teams i have seen.

Tin Tin's mob have the best midfield i have seen in the WC, and their attack isn't bad either, sure their defence leak goals at times, but they are a great team to watch, and i hope they can win it.

Jed you're talking balls.

Belgium probably have the best remaining goalkeeper, defence, midfield and lukaku has his scoring boots on.

The only question was would they finally gel.

The France vs Belgium should be a corker. A football celebration.

But, you know, at this stage of an FA cup (as a comparison) sometimes the underdog wins.

Croatia have a midfield to rival any on their day.

Only because Kompany is getting his bus pass and has 500 operations, and the others are Spurs, and they are all over 30.

But they seem to be holding up.

And they have a giant behind them.

I said earlier on this forum.....
This tournament is a young players game... Yet there is always one old, approaching his sell by date, player who steps up and carrries his team.
No complaints if this time round that dude is kompany.

There's so many interesting combinations left to this

Belgium vs England, the premiership game that never was

Russia vs England, the game that never should be?

France vs Belgium, I bet all the ex French players won't be going to cheer them on now

He dissed the England goalie and said he was too short.
Next game: Pickford makes the save of the tournament.

And he bears a passing resemblance to Bashir Assad.

Other than that, he’s not bad.

He openly rejected that remark on TV tonight, he said he may have saved something. Fair comment.

Jordan Pickford was about 2" shorter than Dier when being interviewed. Dier is 6 ft 2"

The Irish goalie was also a short arse. None too shabby either. The Newcastle one.

Stephen if you think i am talking balls, well so be it so, but i do base my opinion of what i have seen of the Belguim midfield, and their constant pressing of Brazil and not giving them either time on the ball or space was to me just more evidence of how good they are.

How many times were the Brazil midfielers forced to pass the ball back to their defenders, given no time or space they were forced to weren't they?

For me they do play the best with or without the ball, it is just my opinion mind.
