Come on the French!

The Entente Cordial is in effect, for the moment.

What will the Mallard do if there is a certain final?

I've been impressed with Uruguay.

But Luis Suarez has a face that needs kicking.

I'd quite like to see the Uruguayans send the Brazilians home (Neymar in particular) like they did in 1950. Although the Brazilians were already at home

I'm neutral.

The French can always be counted on when you're trying to kill the redcoats, so there is that.

OTOH, I own a signed copy of a book by Nando Parrado called Miracle In the Andes. He was the Uruguayan who saved the plane of people in 1972 by convincing them to eat and then hiking out. Neat guy. He's a rugby fanatic, but will probably be watching.

CavanI is out.

Without the combined work rate of him and Suarez up front I don't see Uruguay beating the French.

Unless they go up 1-0 and defend like warriors.

Which they might do.

Though i do have a soft spot for marie-joseph paul yves roch gilbert du motier, Marquis de Lafayette.

Calf injury during the Portugal game. Had to be subbed out. He hasn't trained all week.

This goal should force Uruguay to play a more attacking game...the 2nd half should be a good one.

I'm so unimpressed with South American sides this WC...I hate them all.

Shout out to snow, jumped six spots, now level seventh with a serious chance at top five before day's end.

Of the 7 teams left in the tourney I picked 6 of them to win the whole thing.. If Belgium beats Brazil, then I will have a guaranteed to have put money on the winner of the World Cup.
