Been a while, but the guide book Fave, Banana Leaf Apollo in little india has the turnover to deliver the roti still white-hot. 1 minute out of the pan and it is time to throw it away.

Best breakfast ever (in Sri Lanka): coconut roti, chicken curry, coconut sambal and a bunch of hot-sour pickles.
Wibble.

I had naan and curry a few times in Tokyo that was done very well.

Definitely liked it in Singapore and Malaysia for breakfast as well, the roti pratha and curry.

I haven't perfected the pratha at home, I can't stretch and toss it like they do to make it paper thin before folding, but I can do a pretty good curry and a semi-decent roti on my own.
