Behold...Quinoa , vege-mince,onion, tomato sauce,chilli oil,soy sauce!

Why eat the decaying flesh of a murdered animal when you can eat like this?

That looks good. It sounds good too but I probably wouldn't have put the tomato sauce in it.

Oh... wait. What is vege-mince? I might have skipped that as well. Added some cilantro on top after.

I like stuffed peppers of almost any variety. Made some for the vegan gf recently stuffed with rice, tofu, beans and hot sauce

Stuffed with meat is pretty good too though

That would be good with a nice steak beside it, or with some pork mince inside it.

Looks good Lincoln. I might add a bit of cheese and still have it veggie if not vegan. Maybe even go really wild and add some diced sauteed eggplant.

I don't inow that a dog would like that. I probably would, but i would improve it by substituting cooked ground lamb for the vegemince and rice for the quinoa; and I would omit the soy sauce. Maybe add some parsley, cinnamon, and toasted pine nuts.

Does tomato sauce mean tomato sauce in England or does it mean ketchup? If it means ketchup I would ditch that and use tomato sauce, and as mishmish says I might have more tomato sauce with, perhaps baking the peppers in a pan of thin tomato sauce.

What for? I am happy that they are able to make choices which work for them. Saying you admire them for being vegetarian is like saying you admire someone for driving a red car instead of a white car. It’s a personal choice.

Not all personal choices are morally neutral, guruwil. Like veronica, I admire people who would enjoy eating animal products but who forgo that pleasure because they are unwilling to have animals killed for their enjoyment.

Lincs, with enough bong tokes, I'm sure whichever sort of lawn clippings you decide upon will be sufficient to satisfy your unsophisticated palate.

My only suggestion is that you may wish to graze upon the neighbors lawn for a change, the bald spots in yours will surely start bringing down the neighbors property values.

In the meantime, I need to decide whether to try Yemeni cuisine for the first time, or if I should hit a taqueria for tonight's meal. Lamb? Or pork? Decisions, decisions...

Vegan contemporary American, that means lots of stuffed things and Tex Mex. It’s getting me out of a rut where I was mostly throwing different vegetables into a pan and serving with pasta or rice.

I made a vegan ganache today. It's made out of tofu. It was good.

Most of my vegan cooking is served with rice or pasta, but I also do tacos, stews, curries, dips, roasted veggies, and use lots of tofu, beans, and mushrooms.

I've only been doing it for a few months, so have a lot more to explore. It's challenging, which is actually fun.

Doesn't plate as well as a big ol' juicy steak or some prawns. Maybe you could borrow some pansies from Iolar?

The evidence for bowel cancer

In 2011 a report from the Continuous Update Project was published. It found strong evidence that eating red meat or processed meat increases the risk of bowel cancer. The analysis of eight cohort studies showed a 17 per cent increased risk per 100g red meat per day (RR: 1.17 (1.05-1.31)). The analysis of nine cohort studies found strong evidence that eating processed meat increases the risk of bowel cancer by 18 per cent per 50g processed meat per day (RR 1.18 (1.10-1.28)).

Sorbet is frequently vegan.

And coconut milk based ice cream is fairly common. I've made it in a half dozen different flavors before, without consciously attempting to make a vegan product.

The tofu ganache was very good. Tasted like chocolate pudding.

I had half a delightful vegan peanut butter cookie today.

Also, my sister’s gluten free vegan chocolate cake is basically a slice of dark chocolate mousse.
