Here's a nice photo essay of a recent 12 day trip to these very remote mountains in the Brooks Range. Enjoy.

I've flown around them but never landed there. The nearest road is about 100 miles away.

It's cold, 7000 feet high north of the circle.

Here is an NPS publication detailing the climbing history of the area, as of 15 years ago.

The first climbers flew over from Blighty in the 60s, shot a grizzly bear, and left. John Krakauer made a few first ascents in the 70s.
