The Nairobi-Mombasa Train

Post by strife » Sun Dec 18, 2016 10:26 pm

Oh my, was this fun.

Nairobi train station is somewhere downtown. I was hanging out with an Ugandan journalist, and we were staying way out west in Karen. You have to pay cash for tickets - 4400 shillings first class to Mombasa. I got on the train. My buddy left behind - he's going back to Kampala. I get lucky, have no bunk mate. Next door are a couple of Afrikaner women who immediately liked me.

I'll update as I see fit.
I am Stalking you.

ok that was dumb and not even close to relevant.

I like it that you travel to take train trips. I've been on a few excursion trains here in the US and the only overseas one was the one that runs the spine of Peninsular Malaysia and that was a great ride.

Wait, so was it the fake Felix that already went back to Istanbul? I'm so confused.

I love train journeys. You could post some pics on my sleeper train thread, if you'd like.
