May be staying in Brooklyn for a few nights. Arrive JFK 8 pm.

Anyone familiar with Brooklyn have recommendations?

OK so I'll tell you. A play starring Tony Shalhoub is popular. Kinky Boots and Hamilton are still going strong.

I was reading about a new Peking duck restaurant that just opened. It's a spin-off of some place in Shanghai.
My revolutionary farmer friend once labeled me as "severely creative." Yes, yes, I like tall-bike building and riding, making fermented foods, wild-crafting and being silent in places where there are no human sounds.

Why not just stay in some euroisraeli-packed shithole by Penn Station? It's always about $130 a night. Chinatown has cheapish hotels too.

They still have the Michelangelo drawings at the Met (soon to go to a $20 mandatory admission).

At the Modern, there's a big show about Club 57, which I was a part of back in the day. Maybe you can spot me in a pic during my shag haircut days.

Sonja from the Real Housewives is doing her act around town again:

Mixed reviews of the Peking Duck place in NYMAG. Wu Liang nearby remains the gold standard for midtown chinese and hilariously rude service. The Peking Duck House on Mott Street is great for the money. Had many a third date there.

Left NY today. I went to MoMA on a pass with my Taiwanese artist pal. I saw some of that Schor (?) photo exhibit. Lots of Warhol. Normal price $25? Screw that.

Backpacking SHs are not for me, BT. BT/DT. Need a good sleep and good bed with this neck.

Next time, Priceline flings you down to a Comfort Inn-level place near Wall Street, or over on 10th-11th Avenue for like a hundred and a half. That's where you're getting your proper pillow and Morning Medley-type breakfast. Not many hotels in Brooklyn.

If you don't mind the PATH Train, The Holland Tunnel Motor Lodge is a decent older property and $100 a night.

I lived there after my divorce. Get up early if you want a croissant from the breakfast bar. They only get 4 of them.

I stayed at a posh YMCA in the east 50's too. Like $80 a night with a shared bath. If I'm alone, I'm slumming it.

Maybe me and Iboi should Vlog together from New York.

I used to be thrilled if I found a W for $200+/night. Now, there are so many boutiquey hotels, Airbnbs, and Kimpton-wannabes, that there are many deals to be had (depending on season, mid-week etc.)

There's only one place to see Warhol; and that's Pittsburgh!
