Number of countries that Lincoln really knows anything about (beyond how easy it is to score weed) = 0. I'm guessing that Simon might score a little higher.

Well obviously I think that list is totally flawed, and what with that, and the fact that according to their rules, you don't have to stay overnight to tick a country, I get 55. Which is significantly more than I could justify to myself.

130. Which isn't so great out of 327.

But last cut was 102 so adding to the count.

I’ve stayed overnight in all the places I think, except for the Vatican (I tried to kip inside St Peters, but they said no, no, no).

Nightmares at the airport! Massive lightning strikes have caused chaos to the re-fuelling building so hundreds of flights are cancelled, no word about our flight but they say minimum 5 hour delay!

Mini Lincoln stuffing his face... still waiting after 3 hours but we've found a quiet spot in the airport... I can see now why some people say that they just can't be bothered with the hassle of air travel.

Overland must be the way to go !

Still here Waldos... been in the airport now 8 hours and we won't have an announcement until 11pm !

I feel so sorry for people, I've not witnessed this before...it's utter chaos, so many Europeans trying to get home, probably got work tomorrow, there are no flights for 2 days on Ryan air... where will these poor fcukers stay?.. The French are noticeably the most stressed... they are kicking off in style and the staff are just fed up with it.

I'm tempted to become more "Moe like" and not travel at all.

Must be 94 now, adding Lithuania, Armenia and Georgia (incidentally, they’re also actual real countries).

Unclear what this is in response to but on the century list, not only is PR separate but so are Alaska and Hawaii. It is a weird list for sure but if you are counting by their list you are counting by their rules.

Travel map, while getting inspiration for Christmas holiday ideas. Shows just how little of most of the world I've seen (except from via plane window when flying over it).

Pish posh as in you have seen more of the world than probably 99% of all people who have ever lived.

This would seem to put you well in the top 1 percent.

Have you really not been to S America at all, or is the map incomplete? (Though if you're going to leave out an entire region that is probably the one I would recommend.)

I’ve never been south of Panama. I’m waiting until I either move to Houston, Trinidad or Brazil (possible at some point) or can have at least a 3+ week trip from elsewhere. I’ve owned a Chile travel guidebook since I was 10 years’ old, it’s a distant dream (like Indonesia always was), and I want to savour the experience.

I wouldn't say that. I've had some great trips there. But if you had to pick a region to miss, what would you pick instead? Maybe North America?

I've never been South of Texas in the Americas.

My work always seems to take me somewhere new each year but apart from that I'm not fussed to seek out new places.

Would rather spend more of my travel time exploring previous places in depth.

Where’s the linc to this list? I count 85 real countries stsyed overnight in but from what I’ve read here I can add many more regions and places I’ve walked in and passed immigration but not stayed overnight. I’m bound to be way over the hundred.

You know full well where the list is to be found sheep-troubler.....last time i spoke to you about it you sulked because my number was one more than yours

Anyway, you may have had a better year traveling than me in 2018 (so far) so here is the link www.travelerscenturyclub.org

They say you can count a country if you are transiting there....but that is just stooopid so dont count them.

Just adding another to my total. But if I ever knew how many I could tick on that (stupid, to my mind) list, I've forgotten.
