We were in Cinqueterre a few years ago and we met a guy who was telling us about all the places he had been to on his current awesome trip. Something like Everest Base Camp, Zambia, Croatia, Patagonia, and now Italy (I don't really remember, but you get the idea). He was so excited and then his expression darkened and he said "but I feel really bad about my carbon footprint".
