Australian cricket team culture, again

Post by Vince » Sat Sep 15, 2018 10:02 am

Moeen Ali is saying in his autobiography, serialised in the Times that an Australian cricketer called him “osama”. Trevor Baylis took it up with Lehman and the response from the unnamed player was that he in pact said “part-timer”

So of course the Australians are lying as usual - does anyone really doubt Mo?

Fucking Australian cunts. Worse team ever.

Yup, was reading in the paper about him saying the Aussies were the rudest, most unpleasant test side he's ever played against. No shock from anyone there. That they are OK when they are by themselves, but resort to pack mentality when together. Said it was 'special' when they were humbled in the One Dayers.

As said elsewhere - Moeen Ali's complaint of racism was investigated by... Darren Lehmann. Who found no racism had happened.

Probably not the ideal go-to guy on these issues.

I think the question that needs to be asked is, why the fuck is Moeen Ali writing an autobiography? And what kind of sad tosser would read it?

Yep. They say a fish rots from the head but Lehman really is as much a symptom as a cause. It’s jusr a revolting culture. It’s just a game - why does it have to be spoilt for everyone.

Here’s ceo key Australia on the matter:

"Remarks of this nature are unacceptable and have no place in our sport, or in society," said a Cricket Australia spokesperson.

"We have a clear set of values and behaviours that comes with representing our country.

"We take this matter very seriously, and are following up with the ECB (England and Wales Cricket Board) as a matter of urgency to seek further clarification around the alleged incident."

At least cricket Australia appear take racism seriously even if oneball and the Australian team can’t.

When people look back on this era no one will remember anything this Australian team did beyond the disgraceful behaviour. Sack the lot of them - the game doesn’t need these people.

Does anyone want to watch warner play, or play with him, for example?

Does anybody have any actual evidence that the Aussies said these things? The fact that Moeen is selling a book that nobody is going to buy ,suggests to me that he is hoping a whiff of controversy might help the sales. I remember Sol Campbell making some dubious race based allegations about why he was never England captain and coincidentally it was when he had a book to peddle. Anybody if Ali was any sort of man he would take it in his stride and leave it on the pitch. Cricket is so wank these days that nobody is going to take much notice. The fact that you fags are more interested in cricket than the outcome of the big fight last night just shows what a bunch of fags you are.

I'm not even sure Moeen is the one making an issue of it.

He may have mentioned it in his book, but it is others who white knight themselves with stuff like this.

In the article I read in The Mail, there was no mention of it. They do mention that he said the Australians were rude when as a pack. That's fair to say.

I dunno. This feels a bit more of a significant moment than just the usual Australian obnoxiousness. I believe cricket Australia is scincere in wanting to take the team out of the 1970s and embracing a degree of sportsmanship. Stopping bigoted abuse of the opposition is a good start. Let’s see what happens.

I think that’s right. The team has veered between unlikeable and grotesque for years. It became a cartoon parody of Alan Border’s tough teams, and in doing so lost it’s moral compass.

They’ve picked a sportsman as captain and dumped Warner, the worst of the garbage.

It’s a start.

Tom Paine looks like a good man but he’ll struggle to hold his place given his age and performances. Nobody outside Warner’s immediate family wants to see him on the international stage. I’m not a fan of langer though. He’s not as bad as Lehman but he’s from that “headbutt the line - don’t cross it” school that we’re all sick of hearing Australians claim ownership of.

Why do you think the British are the most disliked race on the earth Vince?

Just ask any Frenchman, German, Irish, Argentinian, Australian and several other nations why, and you may get the answer.

And i do think that several of your posts on here may give you some sort of a clue.

I hope he’s better than the last one.

Lehman had presentations to the team with ‘WATCH THE BALL CUNT’ - overlaid on them.

What kind of people etc etc.
