Aus v Ireland 3rd test.

Post by andybox » Fri Jun 22, 2018 9:53 pm

Both games have been reasonably close, this should be a hard fought match in front of a huge parochial crowd.
I'm tipping Aus to dominate throughout. 26-12.

Ireland a man down and Oz kick the ball back to them and give away a penalty. No rugby sense.

Looks like Oz is a man down, now Ireland have a second shot at goal. Successful.

Of these Wallabies, Pockock is the only one who would make a world 15.

Falau wrongly yellow carded, it was caused by the lifter, the Irish 6.

If Oz lose, blame Foley, not because of his missed kicks, because of his poor passes and dropped balls.

Ireland scrape an away series down under at last.

Not very promising is it.

Oh come on, Andy. I was at least expecting something about The Ashes and being Rugby League world champions.

Plus being in the Union final 4 years ago.

Ireland have never made it past the quarters.

I would still bet on Australia over Ireland next year.

As he currently plays for the Wallabies, i'd bet a few dollars that he has more rugby sense than you.

Maybe you're right Andy, but do you really believe that kicking away possession when you have a one man advantage is the best option?

Depends whether it was a key defender who was sent to the bin. Sides always panick a bit when a man goes to the bin, kicking downfield first up would not only test their nerves, but then they’d have to run the ball back with a man down. Fuck, I should be a ruggers coach!!

Best team won the match and the series. Australia have improved a lot in the past year, though. I'd expect them to easily beat Wales and England in the autumn.

A very tightly fought contest, Australia are indeed improving.
