strongly worded OP about nifty protocols

Post by mad hatter » Sat Jun 16, 2018 11:03 am

'Someone' has tried to call out some unwritten nifty protocols because I secured the prestigious WC thread nifty.

What are the Commonly Accepted Nifty Protocols (CANP's)?

Who is the Nifty master on this message board Hatter?

(Here's a clue...its me)

Many years ago a 3 post run in was the norm.... so if the replies were at 47 and if you were a nimble and gifted poster you'd take the 48 49 and the golden chalice number 50.

This pissed people off so it reverted to being just the 50th reply claiming the nifty.

You've been told now so lets hear no more about it otherwise fines will have to be imposed.

im not a nifty player as unfortunately I’m an adult but I agree that priming the nifty by multiple posting can’t be right.

Mad earned the nifty.

It was not as well earned as a stolen nifty, but it was worth a point nonetheless.

BTW Agent, stolen nifty's, the only kind that interest me, should be worth two points.

Well personally i'd like to see a return of the 3 post run in nifty....there was a time when you could have a 6 post run in as in "6" is the highest you can score off a ball in cricket so you could nab a nifty on 44...i loved that and back 5 years ago we played that here but it soon pissed off the joy-killers like Eric but when everyone plays its a laugh...in the last days of Geeky it was decided that we'd return to the 1 post nifty....Geeky is El Capitano of the sports branch and despite his absence his word must be obeyed.

I don't go out of my way to post a Nifty Fifty, but when I do (and if you read carefully) you'll notice I usually incorporate a clever pun for a 10 point bonus.

i do but i'm not consulting that fcuking wanker Andybox...he should be struck off the committee.

So, just to clarify Agent a poster can make reply 48,49 and 50 ? so thats a 3 post nifty in my book.

The committee has to have 3 members....we need a third, who do you think is up to the task?

I was thinking SD....he's shown promise of late.

Nothing to do with YC...there were 2 invasions from the LPTT...first came the sports branch (because LP shut our branch down)...4 months later came the YC crowd....know yer history cock-sucker.

The final result ended up being the 2 post nifty*.....
The two post nifty was the standard for the last world cup nifty and top ton tournament.
There was no reason to change the 2 post nifty for the 2018 tournament, as i received no bribes to do so.

Therefore, the two post rule stands for 2018 tournament.

Anyone who has a problem can petition for time to present their case at a committee meeting that could take place in la higuera, bolivia 2020, with a decision in 2022 prior to the kickorf of the next tournament.
This process allows complete transparency in the decision.
Or you can call the FBI sport corruption task force, tell them my attorney is felix.

*Despite the fact the rule change was dependent on annotateds participation, the rule stayed into effect after he flounced.

Annotated is not s duly appointed nifty commissioner in any state or country therefore the decision is void.

A nifty is valid under any circumstances especially if you girls are too slow and feeble to compete.

The decision wasnt made by annotated, it was made by people who have been playing this game for Years, acro55 at least 2 me55ege boards....
Its how the game was played 4 years ago.
You should of maybe tried to figure out the rules before you started playing, instead you made yourself loook like the roookie you are.

I remember debating this on LP TT, 2 became the maximum after outrageaous multiples by the likes of Lincs. I thought it was a boys game, so didn't really care. We aren't counting, so let Hatter have his. I won't compete for them in the future. If you want them, then play the game. If you don't want them, why complain? Occasionally I may assist someone, but that's just for fun, i used to enjoy it more setting someone else up for it. Any game that makes this place more interesting can only be for the good.
