This is the strongest Raptors team they've ever had and this is the weakest Cavs team since Lebron has returned. Raptors in 6.

The Toronto Raptors finished with the best record in the Eastern Conference this season. Dwane Casey was named the National Basketball Coaches Association's Coach of the Year.

That wasn't enough to save his job.

The Raptors fired Casey after seven seasons Friday, just four days after the Raptors were swept by the Cleveland Cavaliers in the second round, according to ESPN.com's Adrian Wojnarowski. Toronto went 320-238 under Casey and made five postseason appearances, but the team's playoff struggles led to his dismissal.

Did you disagree with my post? I think it's still accurate.

Frankly, surprised he got fired. He implemented a new offence and defensive scheme which was very successful during the regular season. They've never had a better coach. Maybe the Cavs will pick him up.

Why? It's because he didn't win the NBA Championship or at least get to the NBA Final. The owner wants "A Winner."

Usually, 28 coaches aren't fired after an NBA season.

The Cavs played a role too....hey, did you know that TFC won the MLS championship last year? Yeah, you probably didn't.

It's true the Raps had the best team they ever had, but that means nothing unless they advance in the playoffs. Which as soon as it was confirmed that the Cavs finished 4th, I knew the Raps wouldn't advance past the 2nd round.

I don't think Casey should've been let go.

No, I thought they had a chance of winning, more than past matchups. I certainly wasn't alone in that. They didn't perform and Lebron was amazing.

They don't judge the playoffs in these contests, for either the players or the coaches.

Personally I though the Boston coach did pretty good, considering he lost his best player all year. Same/same with San Antonio.
