5th One Dayer the Crims v The Pomms.

Post by jedgarandclyde » Sun Jan 28, 2018 12:24 am

Should be interesting at the new stadium in Perth.

The Pomms have been the better side in this series, can they make it 4 wins?

I am nothing but a true blue Aussie, but i think they may win.

Bloody hope i am wrong here!!!

It is the dawn of a new era for sport in the West with the stadium holding it's inaugural event. It was sold out a long time ago.
It will be interesting to see how the wicket plays for the first time.It would be great if the bounce and carry of WACA pitches of the past is maintained but it may just be another flat lifeless drop-in that is more suited to the batsman than the bowlers.
If it's somewhere near the standard The Adelaide Oval we'll be in for a good game.

I can remember a time when Adelaide was seen as very much the most batsman friendly, flat track in the whole of Australia, it might take some spin now and again, but it was seen mainly as a batmans paradise, with boring draw after boring draw being played there.

Thank god things have changed.

260 to get, the Aussies would taken that for sure halfway though the Pomms innings

Good fightback by the Aussies, and the Crims are favourites for sure.

Excellent comeback from the crims... when I woke up in the middle of the night England were 73-1...can't believe we didn't go on and get 300+

Yeah, Harry normal services has resumed with Australia winning the Ashes once again, after all Harry the Aussies have won more Ashes series, and Ashes games that the Pomms.

But it is quite strange that different teams were far better than the other at both forms of the game, a strange one indeed, but no doubt the Pomms trumped our brawn with their brains in several of the one day games.

But well played to great unwashed in the one day series, they were too good for us, but one saving grace for me is that i tipped the right team to win this one.

But no complains, they have been the better team and a very well done to 'em!1

The other two crims (and the magnificent no balls and sides) got 45 between them.

All out for 60.
