Here's a bit of a pissy quiz about ends. Mainly English and Australian grounds.

Lived just off Vulture Street in Brisbane. West End is a great area for restaurants and bars. Powderfinger named a record Vulture Street, after the same street.

As a kid listening to cricket on the radio i was interested in the term 'The Freemantle Doctor' from the WACA, and not exactly what was for several years, until its meaning was explained to me.

I did not know exactly what it was, was it some sort of slang for a bowling end, was it the drinks breaks, was it a doctor from Freemantle to cure sun stroke?

My mind had all sorts of explinations for the term when i was young!!!

For those who don't know, the WACA is in Perth, witch is several miles from the sea on the Swan River and can get very hot, and the 'Freemantle Doctor'is the sea breeze that usually comes in of an afternoon from port of Freemantle that cools the crowd and place down.

I know i am hijacking the thread here, but it is for me the best use of the language in cricket, and in perhaps all of sports?
