Every team picked someone else before Seattle picked Wilson.

And every team picked somebody after russell Wilson.

You don’t see any degree of difference between a team picking Andrew luck before RW and a team picking a punter?

Speaking of Arizona QBs, they have one this year who came off the bench in game five and is currently in line for the Heisman trophy. Khalil Tate is his name. He was inserted into Game five against Colorado, and promptly broke the all-time NCAA rushing record for rushing by QB- 327 yards.

Then he did the same thing over the next three games. When the opposing teams played him for the run, he threw long bombs into the end zone. He currently averages 13.4 yards per carry and has a QB rating of 187.5. He has now won the PAC-12 player of the week for four weeks in a row for the first time ever. Look for him tomorrow against USC.

Here are the AZ/CO highlights, where he broke the all time rushing record.

To be fair, he did throw a completed pass on a 4th and 1 that set up a TD.

He was 1-1 for 35 yards, giving him a QB rating of 118.8, which was higher than Wentz's.

John Boy could have had him for Denver. I hope he is wallowing in his own juices tonight after taking a long look at his two useless QBs.

On NFL.com they were showing a montage of every team's best play of the weekend and for Denver they chose the strip sack on Nick Foles that was returned for a TD by the Broncos defense.

NFL tv ratings are down 5%. Hardly the end of the NFL world our most fact-free posters above have predicted.

In other new, Colin Kaepernick has caused NASCAR tv ratings to plummet by 17%.

Benching Eli manning in favor of Geno Smith? What is the point?

Geno Smith is a known quantity- he sucks.

I could see benching Eli to try out a new QB at this point in the season, just not Geno.

It smells of a payback between a soon-to-be-fired coach toward an over the hill QB he's sick of.

What's the point? A higher draft pick, obviously. It's going to take some doing to out-Browns the Browns this year, but they might be able to lock in the #2 if they really work at it.

NFL ratings are not down because of the protests.....
They are down because the presentation of the product sucks donkey balls.

Does anyone really give a shit what phil simms and booomer eisison think?....
Or bill fucking cowher?...
Who the fuck is james brown, and why has he had tenure at his job for what seeems like 20 years?
Is getting a job as a network tv nfl analysis a lifetime appointment?...
A bunch of pompous fucks in suits arguing about the game. Its a total turnorf.
And thats not even getting into the how the games are broadcast.
Chris collinsworth..... Why?
Joe buck..... Why?
Why do they cut away from the skycam before every fucking play?... So they can show the same shitty angle of the game theyve shown since the 50s... WTF.
And then the commercials, the endle55 spammming of truck, phone, beeer, and penis pill commercials......
The same 6 commercials. all. fucking. day. long.

I find a stream of the NFL redzone and avoid ALL. OF. IT.

NFL ratings are not down because of the protests.....

Oh my sweet summer child. The NFL just got busted for stealing from the breast cancer donation fund to pay for players to stand up for the anthem, otherwise they kneel.

They get to wear custom shoes that portray their commitment to the community.

Ratings are down across the board for sports..... Its multiple things that are driving ratings down.
The protest are small percent of it. You two may be in that small percent, but that doesnt mean everyone thinks that way.
FFS, you guys are the most vocal about this issue, yet LS has poetasters on his fantasy team and nines runs a pickem league.
Yall are still buying the product more than most NFL fans. Outrage!

Times are changing, what people like is changing, how people interact with media is changing. To deny these things have a larger part in the decline in viewership is dishonest.

Neither of you addre55ed the reason i put forth for being turned orf the game....
Do the 2 of you really enjoy the experience of 'watching foootball' like you used to? Do you think the presentation of the product is keeeping up with the times?

Do you really think we neeed football 3 days a weeek? A team in london? Games in mexico city and china?
I for one dont, and im not alone.
Thats why i dont watch as much.

The Chiefs now suck. But if Mahomes pans out, they ditch a lot of dead weight veterans and build up their defense, and Eric Berry comes back 100%, the Cehfs could be deadly next year.

The Lions are great at making awful teams look respectable. If someone could teach Caldwell to count, we might not have had less than 11 players on the field in crucial situations two weeks in a row. This last week - Nine players on the field? Nine? How does this idiot keep his job? I don't think I've seen that happen in a high school game. They've been outscored 36 - 3 in the first quarter the last three weeks, but Caldwell isn't alarmed at all about this. 1 playoff win in 6 decades. I'm confident we can extend that to 7 decades. Love my Lions! Meow.

The Lions haven't had a 100 yard game from a running back since 2013. That's over 60 consecutive games without a player rushing for at least 100 yards. In nine seasons and 120 starts at QB, Stafford has had a total of 7 games where a running back got at least 100 yards. Our coach doesn't think it's a talent issue though. It's just execution. Yeah, whatever.

It sounds like it's more of an offensive line/scheme thing. If you have a good run-blocking offense line, Lionel "Chu Chu Train" James can run for a 100 yards once in a while. And some running backs like Priest Holmes and Riggins are perhaps overrated because they had a great o-line.

I also don't get blaming a scheme on a coach but not the lack of execution.

I saw the highlights of that. It looks like fun. It reminds me of the time Yuma, AZ got a year's worth of rain in a day (2"+), and flooded a greenbelt a foot deep. I was visiting my cousins that week and we had the best tackle football game of all time. All the neighborhood kids came out to play. Being tackled in a foot of water just doesn't hurt. Oh, and all the lightning strikes from the spent hurricane mercifully missed our playing field.

On another note, I saw Nick Foles come in for a hurt Wentz, and throw a perfect pass to preserve the Eagles win.

Yes. A good Ravens game is so rare as to deserve comment.

It takes a break in Ravens Rules to pass into 'good' status. And scoring more than 20 points provides that break.

Kudos to Mr. Flaccid. He must have been watching the recent history of Eli of NJ; or NY, as they prefer to be known.
