I have some very sad news for the Luck lovers out there.

Nick Foles is now the top rated quarterback in the league!

Nick Foles is NFL's top-rated quarterback

Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Nick Foles, a former Arizona Wildcat, is turning heads across the National Football League with his exceptional play. We explore what people across the country are saying about him.

Yeah, we'll see who has the better career. Stats don't win playoff games. You don't honestly think the Eagles could beat the Colts on a neutral field do you?

Foles is still too limited of a sample for me to place him above the Annointed One or Wilson. If he continues this for the rest of season I'll have to Elevate his Status, though.

Truth be told, I'd still be picking Peyton Manning or Mr. Bundschen to build my Super Bowl team.

Wilson is interesting but come on, it's the Seahawks. They always find a way to lose ignominiously.

Which NFL quarterback has thrown 16 touchdowns and no interceptions and is rated #1?

Let's see.

Andrew Luck has thrown 14 touchdowns and 6 interceptions for a rating of #15.

And RG3 has thrown 14 touchdowns and 10 interceptions for a rating of #19.

If you said Nick Foles, you win! But don't take my word for it.

Last week on talk radio, a former Eagle and talk show host claimed that Foles has never been tested. He has refrained from making risky passes.
Wel he must have heard the program, because he threw into tight converge. Per his coach, he is learning from his mistakes.

Heh.

Ken has some Indiana connection because they were thrashed by a mediocre team.

I wonder how much Indiana would have beaten them by if they had drafted Nick Foles?

RG 3 was completely boxed in last night against the 49ers. Take away the passing lanes for a running QB and the are helpless without good recievers.

I wonder how they did today?

Let's see, Luck was 17/32 for 200 yards, 0 TDs and 1 interception for a truly impressive rating of 59.4. This is below his season rating of 84.3.

Foles was 21/34 for 237 yards, 3 TDs and 0 interceptions for a mediocre, for him, rating of 112.0 today. This is below his season rating of 128.0.

RG3 stinks it up tonight in the late game.

Where are the Luck lovers now? And how will they process another beautiful performance by him?

I wonder.

Colts still won the game. Foles is still not better than Luck, sorry to burst your bubble.

Take LeShon McCoy and DeSean Jackson off that team and see how good he is.

You seem to conveniently forget that Luck is the same guy who led a 2-14 team the previous year to the playoffs the next year. Foles has alot better players around him. Luck did more with less last year. Now with Reggie Wayne gone and Ty Hilton maturing into the #1 receiver role and no dominant rb, he's struggling a bit this year.

It's interesting to see these types of players come into their own. It's really too early to say if he will be someone you can really count on year after year. But the "greatest" players don't always come out of the "greatest programs." The SEC, for example, rarely produces the best quarterbacks. They're more about muscle and speed.

Being a good QB in the NFL is one of the hardest jobs in sports. And very few start for 15 years.

But I think Foles is off to an awesome start. He's doing better than John Boy did in his second year at Denver. In fact I think he got benched. Foles is doing better than any 2nd year QB I can remember, with the exception of Dan Marino who went to the Super Bowl. But Marino never did jack shit after that.

I believe the facts speak for themselves, and thus my comments.

"Marino did jack squat after his first season" That is crazy talk.

That was meant for Annotated, Ken.

And yes, on one level, Marino did do jack squat after his sophomore season. No Super Bowls. I realize it takes a team, but Dan personally squelched several chances with interceptions in playoff games.

Polar's right. Foles doesn't wow you with talent, but he has a good feel for the game. It's his poise that's impressive.

That said, he's got what? 6 or 7 starts under his belt? RGIII was rookie of the year and minor rumblings he was a league MVP contender last year. Fast forward to a torn ACL and shit changes quick in the NFL.

Cam Newton looked like dogshit after a beastly rookie campaign. Now he's looking like a top 5 QB again.

The point being, let's get a little more sample size on this group of young QB's before people start fellating themselves over a hot 10 game streak.

I wonder who was autofellating themselves about a certain RG3 last January? Let's see...

I won't even mention the Luck lovers amongst us.

Andrew Luck bothers me for some reason. I can't quantify it; I just know he's going nowhere.

And three cheers for the 49er's QB from Nevada Reno! Shades of Brady there.

You're nuts. Both are going to be good to great.

Even if RGIII were a peg-legged amputee he'd still be a better pocket passer than most of the stiffs in the league. 3rd best QB rating and 2nd best in INTs.

Luck is the next generation's version of Brady or Manning. He's going to be rock solid. He has thrown a lot of picks, but that's a rookie thing I think he'll get sorted out.

There are about 27 teams that would push their current QB in front of a freight train if they could have these guys.
