Wow! What a scandal!
This is the only musical: the mouth. And hopefully the brain attached to the mouth. Right? The brain, more important than the mouth, is the brain. The brain is much more important.

While I am not one to complain, I do wonder why we can't brand the stew and get rid of that phpBB crap. Which really sounds like a euphemism for a drug fueled, unprotected gay sex orgy. Which is an image that none of us really want to be associated with. Well, maybe not on a daily basis. I mean what's the harm in just a little meth and bare backing from time to time? Among friends and all that.

Maybe in the next version we can get a logo and the tagline back? And of course I would dearly love to contribute to the upkeep of the stew.

Thank you Mutha.

As I’ve already mentioned multiple times, on the to do list is to swap out the site logo.

There is no guaranteed way to find who's behind a protected domain.

There are some sleuthing methods you might be able to use if the owner happens to be in a very particular situation with how they've set things up (which the owner of this domain is very likely not in), but even those are no guarantee.

Should we really be thinking of going to a totally different platform for the StewPot? I would personally donate a few shillings to pay for a site that has "like" functions and simple pic posting options.

Judging by the style of writing when shadowstew was introduced on Thorn Tree, I think FUUZ set it up.

Mutha, not sure this matters at this point, but just in case: the automatic logging out now actually only seems to happen on one computer - at work, Chrome on PC, and probably beset by all kinds of office-imposed walls and policies.

I don’t think I’ve seen it time out yet at home (Chrome for Mac) or on my phone (Chrome for iOS).

It times out for me, all the time. Chrome on my laptop.

For curiosity's sake, I'll open it on Firefox and see what happens.

He self edits, after he posts, all the time.

I bet I've posted a dozen times to his profundities only to see them gone by the time I typed out a reply. Always quote the world traveler.

One time he even deleted an entire thread before I could respond. I made a thread about that one.

Yes, the server was experiencing periods of downtime. Largely it's just a result of the age of the site. We moved to our last host ten years ago and were running on an older version of phpbb, Windows Server 2008 (ugh) and drive and memory space that is outdated. So the move allowed us to get on to the latest version of phpbb and run on a linux server on AWS (Amazon's cloud), which is much easier for me to administer, troubleshoot, upgrade, etc. We had that really long downtime a couple of years ago when our server irreparably died and I had to deal with our webhost's awful support team trying to restore from backups. We shouldn't have those kinds of problems anymore.

It's called "foeing," and you can still do it.

Just click on someone's profile, and then you should find a link that says, "Foe this motherfucker."

p.s. I guess this is the last post you'll be seeing from me. But it was fun, wasn't it?
