I guess calling a female candidate a 'wench' counts as criticism.

Point taken, korgy.

A light bulb went off for me a while back. The person behind the CM handle is always online here, and the tired canned 'witticisms' he produces match LS's incessant MAOBAMA and AHILLA shtick.

Definitely Lost Soul. I'd put Cash Money on it.

I'm not sure if I've ever seen korgy criticize a Democrat unless it was a Democrat with the nerve to challenge his more favored Democrat for office.

Criticism of the Obama-Christ is per se racism. Pick another Democrat, one for whom criticism is valid (none of them).

of course, the real issue here is not how often people criticize or don't criticize the political swings they are most aligned with; the real issue is context and and how fair and consistent person is.

i came on this board (over at LP TT) in the aftermath of the WTC attack and then in the runup to the Iraq War. we had 8 years of the GOP George W Bush -- a disastrous presidency and administration; and recently, the election of Donald Trump (no descriptors needed). nevertheless, i made posts from time to time pointing out when Bush did some good things (like designating the largest oceanic national park reserve at the time)

in between Shrub and Turd, not only did we have a Democrat as President, we had the best president in my lifetime. before all those eras, i had a lot to say about Bill Clinton -- but i was not on this board then.

that is the context.

rating people's bias or impartiality based on how much or little they side with one group or another is not only idiotic, it is also no a very good gauge of consistency or ethics.

i have no shame whatsoever about being more aligned with the party that has fought for civil rights, workers' rights, environmental causes, and justice in general. none whatsoever. that being said, i most certainly have criticized Dems from time to time. (no, it is not my job to find them: you made the accusation, so it would be your job to gather every one of my posts over the decade and show that not one ever criticized a Democrat).

hope that helps.

Felix posts these thread every once in a while because he is so astoundingly insecure.

since you made the accusation, i believe it would be your job to gather every single post i have ever made and show that not one of them ever critiqued a Dem. and btw, while i have criticized Obama, it has been extremely rare, since there is not much i have found to criticize him for. but the accusation was that i have never ever criticized a Democrat. it was not about Obama.

what a stupid way to view fairness: "who did you criticize -- Bush or Obama?"

do you think you are intelligent RT? i thought so at one time. one wonders though.

FDR didn't decide Korematsu, korgy. The Supreme Court decided Korematsu. FDR was president. Presidents do not typically sit on the Supreme Court.

oh jesus fucking christ Felix, no kidding. FDR decided to send Japanese Americans to internment camps, and the Supreme Court decided the Koremetsu decision.

(you know, it actually occurred to me to actually go back and change that because of the way it was worded, but i thought: nah, even Felix's life is not empty enough to jump on that. i was obviously wrong.)

as for point #3,
-BulletPark posting in earnest
well, here is one of many of BP's "earnest" posts -- this is the first entry to his spectacular 30+ page thread about architecture, BulletPark's Greatest hits of American architecture:
The TWA Terminal by Eero Saarinen (1952-58). Australian posters might see an affinity between this design and the Sydney Opera House - Saarinen was one of the judges for the SOH competition.

The spectacular interior:

The Very Large Group in New Mexico, intended for galactic transmissions. A cathedral of engineering and faith in the high sciences.

The George Washington Bridge in New York City. The only construction in the USA singled out for praise by le Corbusier.

The Armor-Stiner Mansion, the world's only double-story domed octagon, on the banks of the Hudson River in Tarrytown.

viewtopic.php?f=5&t=169063

this could be the most obvious example of how everything Felix posts about others is really a comment about himself. BP is hilarious much of the time, but when he is not, he is very sincere and knows what he wants to say. Felix, OTOH, is never quite serious and never quite funny.

so we're now up to three points that were wrong in the OP

I regret to point out that Felix is indeed correct. You may notice that he is referring to political posts. Being earnest about the current gang of yahoos at the tiller is like being very serious about a whoopie cushion. Unless you count me wanting them all to die in a fire that also somehow rapes them. That I am completely serious about.

As for the 30+ pages of architecture, I am earnest enough in pointing out buildings that I think are of genuine interest in some way. But I am sort of a prick in that thread too. Consider it a twofer.
