I gave the mods an ultimatum: Edit it so I'm first on the list or delete the thread! They acted.
I enjoy reading NorthAmerican's posts. So well-written and interesting except for the dull parts.--Nines

Yes, who we thought would die this year and who we wished would die soon. Pity it got canned because some mods were too sensitive about it.

Not too sensitive, they just consider you a kala cunt as do 99% of the posters on here. Chicken tikka masala anyone?

I only wished you would be one existence closer to Nirvana, why the need for racist slurs? I mean, if you called a black poster a nigger I'm sure the mods would jump in and ban your ass.

"Kala" as described by Egreteau & Jagan in their book "Soldiers and Diplomacy in Burma" - well worth a read because they know a thing or two about Burma unlike failed guidebook authors.

Seems the mods are willing to accept racist abuse on this forum...odd given their sensitivity to a deathlist post. Anyway, here's some more examples of 'kala = nigger' comparisons for them to chew and for us to all see what a vile creature the Duck remains to be.

Egreteau again, in "Indian and Chinese Immigrant Communities: Comparative Perspectives" edited by Jayati Bhattacharya & Coonoor Kripalani:

Image

Anwar on the Rohingya: "Burma's niggers and their plight"
Racists in Burmese society use a pejorative term “Kular” to refer Rohingyas or any people of Indian origin, which is strikingly same with the usage of “Nigger” by whites to refer the blacks in America in the past.

Zarni on the use of 'kala': YOU can stop the Slow Burning Genocide of Myanmar's Rohingya and Muslims!

The word Kalar is a Burmese equivalent of the un-mentionable 'nigger', in reference to the Muslims in Burma.

Kiersons on the origins of the term 'kalar': The Colonial Origins of Hate Speech in Burma
Along with administrative and cultural changes, British occupation brought overwhelming numbers of immigrants to Burma. According to records, at the turn of the 20th century, a quarter million people per year were being brought into Burma by the colonial government, displacing locals and creating tension in the region. Because many Burmese lived in fear of the British, they did not dare protest British rule directly – many riots in the 1930s took the form of anti-Muslim violence for this reason. It is from this period that the racial slur “kalar” appeared, roughly equivalent to “nigger,” referring to anyone with a darker, Indian-like complexion. This slur is so commonplace now in Burma it has even appeared as a descriptor for Rohingya in state media.1
The term “Bengali” is more nuanced and complex in origin and more insidious in its use.
