Are Excessive Bannings Killing the Forum?
Many of the posters who generated the most buzz here are gone, and the forum has slowed way down because of it. That's the way I see it.
I know some of them did some bad shit, but they also brought a lot of entertainment value to the forum which is sorely missed, IMHO.

The forum's biggest and most repulsive cunt TheDevil (who has at least two handles) NEVER gets banned, despite some of the most obscene, grotesque stuff you could imagine. He clearly has some sort of hold over the Mods. And yet Bashtard, who has never posted anything remotely like TheDevil, is banned on sight. Go figure.

And I do know that we members of the peanut gallery aren't privy to stuff that goes on behind the scenes, so I don't mean to be second guessing any particular decision. I just like to see the place get riled up and miss those that did the riling.

If you're going to allow sociopathic cunts like Candy back here after repeated "perma" bans and after he's already fucked with a current forum member in real life, you might as well let the rest of the fucking lot back.

Yeah, AJ, Jelly, Patrik, Saheli(I know she's not currently banned), and there must be others. Disco Stu should never have been banned, though that was also just temporary. There must be others.
And I'm not saying that I like or don't like any of those people, just that the board is a lot less active and less entertaining without them. Just my 2 cents.

AJ isn't banned. With time even the permabanned are usually let back in, I let nexus back in despite her crazy emails to me threatening to sue me and asking me to sell the site to her so she could fuck with people here.
I feel like bashtard is the only person who consistently tries to get back in and gets banned again.

Each time Patrikkk was banned I told him he could come back in if he was a good boy. He couldn't.
With saheli she was told she could come back in as long as she didn't lie and say the mods laugh off rape threats.

The amazing thing is these fucking morons spend so much time worrying about who might take offense to any given post, or whose feuds they find boring, but they give free pass after free pass to the cunts who've actually taken this nonsense into real life.
I'm sure Jelly will be back any time now to harass Avalon and whoever else pisses that lunatic off on any given day.
It would be interesting to see one of them explain this lunacy, but I don't think any of them would be able to do so.

I don't think that "excessive bannings" have made the forum different from what it used to be. I think it's the constant distraction of the me, me, me posts of an alcoholic. I responded to one post, most likely unkindly, but I won't participate in a useless offering of advice to someone who won't take it. I've had experience with alcoholics in my own family, two of them drinking themselves to death from complications. No thanks, I don't need to follow the drink-by-drink self-destruction of anyone else.
I enjoy reading NorthAmerican's posts. So well-written and interesting except for the dull parts.--Nines

He only flounced from certain aspects of the stew. Before he got "banned" for making threats.
What's the point of banning someone if they're allowed to immediately come back under another handle? Seems a bit ridiculous, but whatever.

The common factor in permabans is a poster who went hyperspastic and fucked with other posters in real life. If you react that way, you aren't ready for the adult internet.Steve_in_Exile wrote: ↑Thu Mar 23, 2017 8:02 pmYeah, AJ, Jelly, Patrik, Saheli(I know she's not currently banned), and there must be others.
