Jeff Bridges and the fat husband from "Roseanne" were. Still doesn't detract from the epic status of this thread though. An exercise in pure retardation.

OK, random replies:

a) That infamous MSN log where I compare the Stew to a company has more to be read before and after the bit selected. It was a parallelism I used while talking to Billet, since the only thing she seems to know about is bloody air conditioners and running businesses for 26 years (I guess that the 25 figure is outdated after all).

b) There was a logging system in place until the marketing team showed up and *someone* (neither me nor mutha know who the hell did it) erased all software from our server back then. I didn't have the passwords to install such a thing on the Yahoo! server.

c) Zara claims to have deleted my handle because she didn't have access to ban me. You pretty much need the same username/password to ban and delete handles, it's simply two different clicks in the Administrator Control Panel. You could have instructed shmishmina to do otherwise.

d) Zara and shmishmina (and Billet that finally showed up in this OP) all resort to ad hominem attacks against whoever dares to disprove their false accusations.

e) I never was the 'boss' of the Stew. The whole 'boss' thing started when I removed the admin status from the mods when weird things happened on the stew (re: the deletion of the files I talked about before). Apart from that, I made sure that the board was running on the technical side, not giving a rat's ass if zara has or hasn't the 'admin' label next to her handle, up until it showed that it was perilous for the board to have more administrators than moderators.

It seems that this OP has made the whole situation clearer.

In general, talking to people that don't use the Stew about the stew makes you look insane (not to mention trying to explain to people what the heck happened with that Burmese guidebook )

Cowtown,

you still are somewhat off, but getting closer.

If you want a full explenatio of what went on, and my role, PM me.

I am just glad all the bullshit is behind us, and that I have managed to keep on good terms with everybody involved, which is far more important than a small internet message board to me.

it actually sounded like you were validating what he'd said about me after i've already given an honest and pretty thorough explanation based upon the threads in the moderating roundtable & discussions we've had. thank you for being specific and sorry for the misunderstanding.

Does this all come down to Doodle conning Jono into letting her back in, then deleting Manos is a fit of pique and keeping quiet about it when all hell broke loose and accusations were flying?

Also, did Splatt know that Doodle deleted Manos?

Bet she did.

Wow.

So who moderates this place now? At least Jono and Mutha come out of this thread looking decent.

And for the record Chachi isn't Joey - in fact if Joey is posting under any other handle here then his posting quality has gone through the floor, as I can't recognise him in any handles here. Shame.

Indeed. But truthfully what really occurred was that the Duchess dove at the Duke just when the Duke dove at the Doge. Now the Duke ducked, the Doge dodged, and the Duchess didn't. So the Duke got the Duchess, the Duchess got the Doge, and the Doge got the Duke!

.....And apparently, Moderators have been begging that evil control-freak known as Manos for a log of who logged in and when since last October which he REFUSES to uh, you know, "produce".

They have done everything short of a torch-lit march to his house like in the Frankenstein Movie. He does nothing but stonewall them and bob and weave via incomprehensible broken-english blather. In that sense, he's no better than Cowtown.

What's up with that? Air-conditioner ranting by the yard, but not a single scientilla of vital and life-affirming log-producing? Seems odd if he's Mr. Concerened-for-the-board like he says. My prediction: He pulls a Hillary Clinton and says he "lost" the log. Yeah, yeah, the dog ate my Log. That's totally believable.

And to clarify:

I'm merely pro-Log. I have no other stake in this conflict.

......Then there's that weird permutation where Zara leaps up after being log-demander #1 (a title I like to think that I have wrestled away from all comers) and says, "n-n-not so fast, maybe we DON'T want to look at the log". And then Manos starts backing away from the log-concept as if it were Kryptonite.

And where the hell is Cowtown, the should-be demander of log-truth in all this log-subterfuge? He offers up some nonsensical bit of log-nursery-rhyme and then suddenly slumps into a log-coma of log-funk.

Don't I seem an unlikely candidate for log-advocate? When called, I was not found log-wanting. Cowtown can quote me on that.

Huh?

Can the log-genie ever really be put back in the log-bottle? People say 'screenplay'; I say the log-story-arch must play out.

But that's just me.

And can we get a reading on just how many logs are floating around (as logs will) and what kind?

Does anyone really know?

Recent Log Upate:

Apparently no log of ANY kind exists! People come, go, delete each other and no record is ever kept, or at least not in any form that could loosely be described as a you-know-what.

Then what is or isn't the log that people have been crying about for half a year? RoadWarrior was a cool, sane guy -why didn't someone just gently tell them there was no log instead of fucking with him endlessly by pretending to withold it? That goes double for sweetie-Zara, too. Log-taunting? Unforgivable, in my book.

Is this some kind of log-cargo cult where primitive natives hope for log-manna to just drop down upon them from the heavens?

If you've wailed about the log, pined for the log, or -better yet- had a close encounter of the log-kind, we need to hear from you.

Because if there is no log to pour over and settle a million simmering grudges with, I may well have bet on the wrong horse, cause-wise.

Jesus, 'talk about fighting windmills.

Not sure how the log attained such legendary status. The log people were all told at the time that no record of treachery was ever found.

Perhaps our posters should write secondhand logs:

"The Log of Cowtown"
"The Log of Btraven"
"The Log of Zara"

We can then appoint a newbie to spread the "Log" news and later hold a Council to determine which four are closest to the truth.
