Re: PS time-outs
I have had to log in every 24 hours or so for the last four or five days.

Re: PS time-outs
Update: I just had to log in again, four hours after the last log-in.
Assuming that shilgia is right that increasing the session length would be an improvement, I second her request. This is annoying.

Fluffermunky, I think you've made the right decision here. If it annoys VD (particularly if it does anything to reduce the ridiculous number of mind numbingly tedious posts that he makes), then I'm all for it.
It's pretty clear that what he deems an improvement would actually lead to a serious diminishment of the quality of the forum.

Re: PS time-outs
Reduce the session length to 40 mins.

Re: PS time-outs
I don't think this is what affecting Vinny, though. My session times out after something like 30 or 40 minutes - somewhere along those lines. (Have I mentioned that increasing the session length would help enormously?) If you can stay logged in beyond that, i.e., for four hours, then presumably your being logged out is not because of the session length. (Unless you were actually inactive for no more than 30 or 40 minutes when it logged you out, Vinny.)

Re: PS time-outs
I've not timed it, but I get timed out after a period closer to shilgia's than Vinny's.

Oh, I don't get timed out while I am on the site. I just have to sign in often after leaving this site and then coming back to it.

Perhaps we should have a poll to determine the optimum session behaviour for stewbies.

Re: PS time-outs
Actually, VD, you didn't have to. No one would have missed you. Nothing you logged on for today made a difference. I realize it hurts your ability to make 50 meaningless and tedious posts a day and impacts your ability to bring any interesting discussion to a screeching halt, but you didn't have to do it.
It's pretty clear that there is only one way for you to protest this harsh treatment, VD. You need to boycott this site until Fluffermunky capitulates. That will show him.
