Upcoming Downtime

Post by muthafunky » Mon Oct 05, 2015 4:46 pm

We will be completing maintenance work on your 1&1 Virutal Server to ensure
security and gather information for Windows updates. A tool will be
installed that will gather technical information, check the structure and
fix inconsistencies if necessary. The tool will not have access to any
personal data or information.

The maintenance will take place between 10/08/2015 to 10/09/2015.

This may take up to a few hours to complete, but your 1&1 Virtual Server
will remain online and you will experience only short periods of increased
load times and response times. There will be no downtime during the
maintenance. No action is necessary to prepare for the maintenance. We ask
that you do not interrupt the process during the time periods listed
above.

Thank you for your patience while we take the steps necessary to maintain
your 1&1 Virtual Server.

Sincerely,

Customer Service

I had to translate the dates - the American way is back to front for us Brits.

It reads like it was due to have been down from August to September.....!

But thanks for the heads up Mutha.

Does this have to do with something us poor paeans could do or should not do? I like to follow directions (well, not really) but I don't even know what it would be in this case.

Anyway- thanks for the advance warning.

That's the first thing that came to mind for me... would it fix the picture posting problem.

It looks like it won't. *sad face*

Eric, after I promoted you to web development intern I was hoping you'd show a little more initiative in taking care of these sorts of things.

Development intern? I'd peg him as assistant user experience liaison officer.

I told you the *date configuration wording* needs work!

Loozers need it spelt out. October. not random obscure numbers in wrong order....
