Wrong thread. You’re looking for the “corbyn - nearing the endgame” thread.

The next election will be just after we crash out of the eu, don’t you think? He’ll only be about 70 then. He has to go then. I can’t imagine he’ll have many friends, supporters or allies by then. But I’ve been wrong before!
1988: "We have a climate in Britain in which business wants to succeed and can succeed." Margaret Thatcher, speech to launch the European Single Market

2018: "Fuck business." Boris Johnson

The next election won't be until 2022, Corbyn will be 72.

Surely he isn't going to be allowed to hang on for another 4 years, in the hope of forming a coalition with the minor parties.
Of course he will. He can’t truly be Christ without being crucified. Or his he John the Baptist to McDonnells Messiah?

Has the immigration scandal that has claimed pro-customs union Amber Rudd run its course. The responsibility for the hostile environment surely belongs to May, but perhaps she can whether all that as Rudd has resigned due to misleading the house rather than the more fundamental reason: that of being a shit.

Biwevwr this customs union thing us coming to a head. Pro breshiteers threatening to resign if May attempts to stay in the/a customs union and the lords defeating her, and the commons threatening to, if she leaves the customs union.

How does she get out of that one? Are we approaching the endgame?
Has anybody else ever been a perspicacious as Shunter when it comes to predicting end games?

So it is going to be 1990 all over again-England in a World Cup semifinal and Davis and BoJo about to do to May what Howe did to Thatcher-with the same result I suspect come Thursday

well Sajid Javid is a fairly attractive mahogany colour I'd suggest but some people are also talking about Penny Mordaunt. Strange but true. It'd be interesting to have a PM with a decent rack.

Boris Johnson’s wife has kicked him out. He’s always been a little weasel in his personal life as well as his political one. Maybe this is enough to put off the tory faithful voting for him in a leadership campaign as now they won’t be able to ignore his relationship integrity as much as happened.

This strengthens Theresa’s leadership in my opinion.

But these are strange times...
