Look at these worm-infested dancing slaves. Aren’t they great.

Yes-- this definitely says "enamoured" to me
Cheerleading, by nature, is a form of propaganda—I can say this, I think, having cheered in Texas for six years. But the North Korean cheerleading squad, which will perform at the Winter Olympics opening ceremonies, this Friday, in Pyeongchang, South Korea, occupies its own stratosphere of weaponized comeliness and discipline.
And then the author goes on to describe the South Koreans' reaction to these cheerleaders-- now and in the past. And ends with
It will be absurd, in Pyeongchang, to watch one of the world’s most repressive, totalitarian nations attempt to deploy two hundred and thirty smiling women as a diplomatic shield. The underlying idea is so ridiculous that it’s almost thrilling. Female youth, beauty, and obedience are supposed to be that distracting—a spectacle that could even dissipate thoughts of nuclear war.
https://www.newyorker.com/news/sporting ... f-beauties

The lunatic press, however, is going bonkers because when media reports how the public is responding to The Sister or The Cheerleaders-- the lunatics are scandalizing that as "THE MSM LOVES NORTH KOREA."

Perhaps you might broaden your reading material?

Then you can go back to watching the slave dancers’ zombie-chanting.

You have a fetish for Korean women. You also like to talk about them as chattel or conquests. In addition you support aid-workers who fuck poverty stricken teenage refugees (“big deal”). These poor women must be a masturbatory godsend for you.

Perhaps you’ve got your eye on one of the slave dancers.

Which one is your favourite?

Those cheerleaders were the lead off story on the news tonight. They and Kim’s sister have been the topic for 15 minutes now.

It’s interesting.

I’m glad I don’t need or expect the media to make my moral decisions.

Po, something went wrong. People quibbled with your statement that the Western media were enamoured with the North Korean cheerleaders, and you put up two links to Western media to support that contention. But the links don't say anything about the North Korean cheerleaders! Wrong links! Can you find the Western media stories you meant to link to? I have missed those stories and would like to see them. Thank you in advance.

ArgPo takes screen shots of tweets but doesn't link to the articles. Only a fool or the Lunatic Media stops reading at the tweet before commenting.

NYT story
PYEONGCHANG, South Korea — When the North Korean leader, Kim Jong-un, decided to send a large delegation to the Winter Olympics in South Korea this month, the world feared he might steal the show.

If that was indeed his intention, he could not have chosen a better emissary than the one he sent: his only sister, Kim Yo-jong, whom news outlets in the South instantly called “North Korea’s Ivanka,” likening her influence to that of Ivanka Trump on her father, President Trump.
[...]
At a protest on Sunday in central Seoul, where a few hundred anti-North Korea demonstrators waving South Korean and American flags gathered and shouted slogans denouncing Kim Jong-un, Yang Sun-woo, 55, said, “I’m afraid a lot of Koreans have been fooled by Kim Yo-jong’s visit.”
“It’s very unfortunate that the Pyeongchang Olympics are becoming the Pyongyang Olympics when South and North Korea are still at odds with each other over ideologies,” added Mr. Yang, who carried a foam head depicting a bloodied face of the North Korean leader.
[...]
Commentators analyzed her no-nonsense hairstyle and dress, her low-key makeup and the sprinkle of freckles on her cheeks. After she attended a luncheon at the presidential palace on Saturday, the palace released photographs of the message she wrote in the guest book expressing hope that “Pyongyang and Seoul get closer in our people’s hearts.” Social media promptly lit up with analysis of her peculiar handwriting.

Her quietly friendly approach while in South Korea — photographers repeatedly captured her smiling — seemed to endear her to some observers.
Waiting to enter the concert in Seoul on Sunday night, where Ms. Kim sat next to Mr. Moon, Lee Hwa-ik, 61, president of the Galleries Association of Korea, said that Ms. Kim “seems like someone we can become closer to on a personal level and on a human-to-human level.”

Others said they were horrified by the notion that Ms. Kim could lull South Koreans, or anyone else, into forgetting the North’s repression and human rights abuses.

“That’s the face of the Kim family, which wouldn’t even flinch when tens of thousands of people died for it,” one Twitter user wrote. “I see the arrogance and ruthlessness that one cannot find in people who grew up in a free society.”

A group of university students who had come to cheer on the Korean women’s hockey team Saturday night (the Koreans lost to Switzerland, 8-0), said that they were excited about the historic moment and having the chance to see women from the two countries play together.
But they drew a sharp line between the athletes and citizens of North Korea, on one hand, and the dignitaries sitting in the stands representing Kim Jong-un’s regime on the other.

“I think Kim Jong-un is really a bad person and a villain,” said Park Keon-ho, 24, a computer science student at Korea University of Technology and Education. “But I love North Koreans. I think North Koreans and South Koreans were all together as one family, and we come from the same root.”
https://www.nytimes.com/2018/02/11/worl ... mpics.html

Story from the CNN tweet
But as North Korea's brutal dictator, Kim's brother has ruled with an iron fist since coming to power, operating Nazi-style prison camps, repressing political opposition and even executing senior officers and his own family members in an effort to consolidate power.
[...]
In Pyeongchang, her presence is a major story line for reporters and the buzz on the street, with some in South Korea curious and accepting, while others are skeptical, if not downright cynical.

"Her being here is not that bad, but I feel North Korea has shown up to the Olympics without paying," said Yoon Jun-young, 23, indicating that the nation hasn't made any political concessions to mirror its participation on the international sporting stage.
Kate Yoo, 21, who like Yoon spoke to CNN during Saturday's hockey match between Switzerland and the unified Korean team, said she doesn't think it's "the best thing to have her here, although maybe part of having one of the Kim dynasty over is like a safeguard, then they won't attack."

Well gosh.

The western media continues to fangirl the Gulag Queen.

CNN: “Kim Jong Un’s sister is stealing the show at the Winter Olympics”
YAHOO: “All swagger and smiles, Kim Jong Un’s mysterious sister gets her star turn at Winter Olympics”
YAHOO: “Kim Yo Jong: N. Korea’s political princess”
BBC: “Kim Jong-un’s sister: ‘Sweet but with a tomboy streak'”
WASHINGTON POST: “The ‘Ivanka Trump of North Korea’ captivates people in the South”
ASSOCIATED PRESS: “At Olympic Games, Kim Jong Un’s sister takes VIP seat”

Why the headlines, robots?
“We make men without chests and expect of them virtue and enterprise. We laugh at honour and are shocked to find traitors in our midst. We castrate and bid the geldings be fruitful.” —C.S. Lewis

Of all the headlines above, only the BBC's seems approving.

To assume, for example that the Washington Post is making a comparison to Ivanka Trump as a positive thing is to suggest that House Boy cum isn't brain food.

Whereas the Associated Press describe a person accorded VIP status sitting her ass down. Well, now that I know that's all it takes, I guess my seduction of Hugh Jackman is sewn right up.

"Pardon me, Mr. Jackman...I couldn't help notice you taking your VIP seat."
"Why you overwhelmingly sexy fag, that's me out of the closet in full public view."

That CNN tweet probably got more ad revenue for CNN than all of January's Trump Tweets.

I like this intro from that Federalist site:

“Kim Yo Jong's brother is starving his own people to develop nuclear weapons he's threatening to use, but you might not know that about her based on these headlines.”

Yeah, you might not know it if you were living in a cave, too.

So, you’d be happy if the New York Times because of people who won’t read past the headlines?
Huh?

Oh, okay. Well, I hope they do okay because, considering how much the government has been attacking them, they are probably providing a valuable service.

This OP is a weak attempt to distract from failed Pence/Trump/US diplomacy

we got beat by the freak and therefore look like freaks ourselves, the only one buying it is the varmint base which doubtfully could find Korea on a map

Something went wrong again, Po! This thread is about the Western media's love of the NK cheerleaders. You may have forgotten what thread you were on, and posted headlines (no links, of course) about Kim Yo Jong. Did you think she was one of the cheerleaders? She isn't; I think she is probably over the age limit for them.

Remember when Trump said that senators who don't clap for his speeches are guilt of treason? I do.

Surely this is 'Fake News' and an 'Alternate Truth'?

We should have a media that doesn't report this kind of thing.

Eric, did you miss the reports of Trump giving Kim a stern talking-to on the subject of human rights and democratic freedoms?
