Can anyone explain what the symbols to the left of the names of threads on the branch pages mean, or direct me to an explanation?

The star means you've posted in the thread. The flame means the thread is particularly active.

ETA that these apply if you're using prosilver

If you have prosilver: Blue circle means you've read it all, red means there are posts you haven't seen. And as explained earlier, the little red page icon is to click when you want to go to where you left the thread.

Thanks. I am using prosilver. What do the lines under the dogeared page mean, e.g. on northern goddess's trump tweet sticky or Argonheat Po's The Modern Left?

Nohing happens when I click on the lines I am asking about. What do they mean, cowtown?

Vinny, if your question was more clearly stated it would have been easy to answer and why you couldn't figure that out?

Cowtown, what part of "the lines under the dogeared page" did you fail to understand? And how do you explain the fact that leela understood it?

Thank you, leela. I was hoping that somebody would have worked all this out so that the rest of us didn't have to, one by one.

Has anyone mentioned the creepy "Manage “Remember Me” login keys" part of the profile that has a record of your old IP addresses? I just deleted login keys dating back to 2014.

When you get a notification that somebody has quoted you, is there a way of making the red number go away without clicking on the notification (say if you have already seen the quote)?

When you've already seen the quote, by opening the thread, the red number does go away. (But not in tabs you had previously opened - is that the issue?)

The wheel click can be set to do any number of actions. For most, the default is probably to open it in a new tab though.

Another trick - hold down the Ctrl button as you click. At least on Windows. (Fuck Mac!)

It would help get through the dribble and droop and get to those posts that are hopping...
