Some speculation that he might not even resign when labour are trounced at the general election.

With Laura Piddock standing in rock solid NW Durham it looks like Corbyn will have 27 supporters on June 9 https://docs.google.com/document/d/13aF ... eTbHM/edit to get him on the ballot should there be another challenge.

June 8 is not the end game, it is not even the beginning of the end game etc

Jeremy Corbyn has been campaigning in Bethnal Green and Bow-Lab majority 24,000!

Money is going to be spent on Jezbollah loyalists to ensure that his or McConnells name is on the ballot paper in the post 8 June leadership election. They are not even pretending that this is about who forms the next government.

Straight talking, honest politics.

With these local election results we may or may not be moving to the endgame.

I doubt it.

Only a 7% swing from Labour to Conservative, according to Sky News. Which is well below what polls have been saying and doesn't take into account the complete collapse of UKIP, losing all council seats so far.

In Shunter's defense, he didn't say Corbyn was finished, or even in the end game. Just moving towards it. He seems to be moving very slowly, but Shunter didn't specify a rate.

Corbyn is responsible for brexit. Any other leader would have swung the necessary 2% with the exception of Abbott

The results from the local elections are a disaster, UKIP is indeed the pathway drug to voting Tory, even the SNP had a bad night and nothing can now stop May and the Tories on June 8.

Where the fuck are all the shy Corbynites that we were assured are just waiting for a credible left wing alternative before they can vote Labour?

McDonald was waffling on about Marx today. It's a fucking general election and he's advocating we all read Marx ( he's on record claiming to be a Marxist, a couple of years back). It's just incredible. Who can believe they want to win?

They're just wankers.

Tony Blair had a genuinely redistributive platform in 1997, taking £5bn from privatised utilities to fund education. So far, Corbyn and McDonnell are tossing off about Marx while offering us 4 extra bank holidays and free car parking in hospitals.

Clueless, and an insult to the electorate. They wouldn't know the difference between Baader Meinhof and Dunning Kruger.

I'd be interested to see if a centre-left party springs up if he doesn't step down. Blair, mark 2. Bring in miliband senior to head it up. Potentially they could look at some sort of coalition thing with the Dems, greens etc. Politics is in such disarray that I wouldn't discount anything.

We did another centrist party - someone needs to take a leaf out of the French book. No idea who the 'person' is though. David Milliband is no good - he's raking it in elsewhere.

That has to be a better option than forming a new party. The sdp showed that. Far better to isolate corbyn Abbott et al within parliament, get the short money and form the opposition.

Lib dems are going to win their seat back from the conservatives in my constituency. Local elections they took all the seats. Our con MP who said she was for remain betrayed all of us by voting without any critisism for the government plans during the brexit votes in parliament.

Paddy power have a book on every individual constituency so you can check the odds on that and pit your money down.

Lib dems are going to struggle to make gains.

Today komrad Corbyn presented the communist manifesto
Nationalise utilities and railways like crazy and there's no money to pay for it, so probably it will be the old fashioned commie way of holding a gun to your head and say give me those shares or I kill you.
Also their campaign manger is a committed communist: http://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/po ... 37151.html

It's just one of those things that most people support, everyone knows this. Then you frame the question in a way to emphasise cost and they're not too sure.

But they said that about fuel bill caps and Brexit, so who really knows anymore?

When previous UK governments covered up for Mugabe and gave Pinochet a safe place to die, I can't really get upset about another politician's fondness for Castro.
