A lucky streak

Postby Chi_Rup » Fri Feb 17, 2017 11:41 am

I don't mean to brag, but yesterday I was offered a trip to New York to mix an orchestra and this morning I received a free bottle of wine in the post from a fancy merchant because "Friday is National Random Acts of Kindness Day!"

The downside is that the New York trip is associated with the job I have now and may be leaving pending successful interview, and I stopped drinking in January.

Does anyone want my lucky streak because I think I may have landed someone else's?

Probably is good luck, though. Immigration would have looked through your phone, found you posted here, read the politics board and disappeared you.

My deepest apologies for this slight.

I thought i read you were an Advocate, which in my mind suggested something of a Jockery nature.

I do love a good smowball at Christmas. I won't deny it.

I am currently toying with the idea of making a proper Irish coffee at some point this weekend. But, i haven't had whiskey (or bourbon or whisky) in a long, long time

I've got a very high profile thing from Spring through Summer and need to be bulletproof for it. Utterly unbreakable and fit. It works, in fact. I've lost a lot of weight and if I'm not on it problem solving wise on any particular day I've nothing to blame but myself.

I also got in touch, out of curiosity, with the ex-fling who now has a TV show and she says she misses my "monkey face". So that's not the third thing in this lucky streak.

I had a ride to work this afternoon almost completely free of red lights but I hope that wasn't #3.

out of interest, how do you know so much about snowballing? and does it offset your negative alcohol calories?

I must be in the Train Spotting thread, note the lack of N. Americans

Translations would most likely ruin it

I'm still fascinated to hear about the OPs snowballing experience.
