Richardson = Judas ? That makes no sense.

You missed the James Carville quote, then!

there may be some interesting dynamics among cabinet members.

was glad to see scowcroft on board for obama the other day; about the most honorable veteran of 41 imo.

yes, some politically religious morons considered Richardson's endorsement of Obama - clearly the best candidate for the job - an act of betrayal against Hillary!. Thou shalt not turn against the Clintons.

then again, Carville never was the most objective person on this issue. he was clearly projecting his own sense of indentured obligation to the Clintons onto Richardson when he made that remark - probably out of jealousy that he doesn't have the balls to be his own independent person.

Carville is SO-O-O stuck in that old Southuhn good-ol' boy i'll scratch-yer-back-if-you watch-mine crap that the Clintons so thouroughly and completely represented.

do you know anything about that BEA?

"politically religious"...

That might be the best descriptive term I've heard on this branch.

I think Secretary of Commerce is worth a lot less than a bunch of pieces of silver. Doesn't that seem like a step down for Richardson? What the hell does a commerce secretary DO?

It does seem like he threw Richardson a bone
But in an Obama administration it could well be a very important cabinet post as Obama tries to remake Detroit and introduce a new green economy

True. If that's the case, I pity the man. Gas prices down to $1.80 a gallon--Detroit is going to be pretty tempted to pump out more of those Hummers. Apparently hybrids aren't such a great bet either--Prius sales are down 50%.

while i'm good with richardson being on the o-team, i have to say i'm not sure i'd leave that really nice office of his with his smoking hot receptionist just to be sec of commerce...seems a step down to me, and from what i've seen of d.c. and s.f., i'd rather take most my evening strolls in the latter.

Gotta hand it to Korgy. That was good, as was this:

his own sense of indentured obligation
