Get back to me when you are ready to explain quite why you so fiercely oppose actually talking about my ideas sensibly.

Tph -

Again, your summary doesn't seem to mention you faking quotes or deleting posters comments from the board. Did you forget?

Annie -

Do you have ideas for how to improve the forum?

No, I've specifically said exactly the opposite on a couple of occasions.

Then if you've established that people can have ideas and they don't have to be a mod for them to be implemented, I don't see why you keep pushing for a mod election. Completely irrelevant.

But do you really think I'm going to throw them, young and frail, before the befanged and rabid spammers?

If people are interested, then let's discuss them. If not, then forget the whole thing. It's not like I spent hours making powerpoint slides.

I think it would be pointless to put any suggestions in this thread. A new thread in Sound Off makes more sense. I'm sure you'll get some people (and you can probably guess who) who will disagree with anything you suggest, but I think there are people - including current mods - who would be happy to discuss any ideas for changes here. I am always interested in ideas for change and if you've got some I'd like to hear them.

But I do think you need to separate the issue of a "mod election" vs "changes/ improvements to the Stew".

Bullshit, Adolf. If soda has any good ideas, then it would be foolish not to give them a listen. But he has nothing, he just keeps claiming that Polardude and myself wouldn't like them (and we don't make decisions) so he'll refrain from proposing any. What BS.

I think you guys do a fine job, but the run-up and then actual changes of the guard, and finally the rumbling afterglow are the best moments around PS. Better than cable. Many posters change their avatars, too.

You should be appreciative and thankful that anyone wants to take on that fucking job.

I haven't been here regularly for a couple of years now, but when I pop in every now and then to check up on some of the peeps I actually like in here, it sure seems like the same old place.

This forum is very north American centric and given Americans proclivity for being "into themselves" it does tend to estrange the non North Americans. That’s not necessarily the fault of the mods however the moderation is (in my opinion) slanted is favour of the yanks.

It was a dumb idea to have Cogito as mod. It's not as if no one warned about her. Thankfully she's one biased mod whose tenure was mercifully short lived.

I don't recall the cognito debacle but from what I can gather her issues were not based around where she (or indeed anybody else) came from

All in all the mods do a good job (for a thankless task) my main criticism being consistency about who gets banned and about saying what. Good moderation is subjective as JR so unelequently demonstrates. We are however deluding ourselves if we think that this forum is going to be more than it is.

I have a suggestion. Perhaps the mods could create a branch called "Lamest Dishes" and move this pile of whinging shite there along with soda's threads about aborigines, blandanavia's per capita sporting achievements and his despot theory.

300 posts and not even his most reliable supporters have come on to back him on this typical passive aggressive attack on TPH. It's got to be crushing for the sad little douchebag. I guess he's fucked now that Candy got banned for being psychotic.

Hell, he hasn't even bothered to post whatever the ill-informed shit was that he was trying to flog about his summer vaca in Africa - apparently even Lutefisk's Lovers bi-annual english language supplement has standards and didn't bother to pick it up. It has been a pretty sad year for sodaboy.

Right.

It just seems like a strange thing for a poster of limited literacy to pretend to be fun by being completely illiterate. It's like Hitler performing a pantomime of himself in which he acts like a pscyho.

Gerat post. I can't believe how stupid and unDerrideaded he is.

You should humilitate him more with devastate quotes from Big Books and first collapse chest Sambodian in Uzmogria important article. That will teach Bandra to fuck with the Jesus.
