Old Skool.. I just heard this today for the first time since I was a very little girl. I remember my mother cranking it up loud on house cleaning day.

I can picture in my mind a world without war, a world without hate. And I can picture us attacking that world, because they'd never expect it.

just wondering how seldom we - the regular contribuants to this long thread - ever click eachother's music links

I well remember that you - Agent009 - addressed me in a positive manner after I spoke here about my personal experiences with The Cramps. And 2 or 3 years later, I posted a YouTube link to the former Australian band that performed "How Bizarre". And your reply made every sense. Thank you!

But in general, this board lacks a human resources manager with a moderator toolkit.

Hi,
Thanks, Agent009.

As for your rather immediate comment on "How Bizarre", of course you were right :-)

This music thread (slow as it may be, with not many new postings) in combination with my Dutch public Radio 1 channel 24/7, are keeping me alive this time of year. Alive and human.

I'm not a bear, but I should have been one. A mamma bear. As such, I still would have been hibernating this mid February,

Can't be arsed for generally deliberately stupid Stew-audience that keep ingnoring this long music thread, to attach & show a pic here of the granite mamma bear & her cup, that my then-husband gave to me as a present on the morning in 1982 after our daughter was born. Besides, the board won't allow me. The photo file is "too big".

Never mind. I'll enjoy music with bears. You'll just enjoy music.

One of the best things about Breaking Bad was the soundtrack. Listen to it here:

Best song I've heard come out of Malaysia in 4 years (*disclaimer - this is not saying much). With a sock puppet-themed video, and a clever change near the end.

Pretty in Pink, proper version:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7aK5mwVI7fc

I loved this even before Hollywood tried to ruin it with a film. About 1986 and I'm covering my room in a smelly tank camouflage net, a few car headlamps run off a dodgy transformer you electrocuted yourself every time you stumbled into the room drunk (every day). On my wall is some dodgy murals by the Dead Kennedys. Running around the house is Edie, my mental but house-trained rabbit. Isn't She?

I just hit up the wiki on KLF, didnt realize it was the same dude who burned a million pounds!
Dont know what/who ARKane is, but that MARRS song brought me over to electronica. Pump of the volume still sounds great today, as compared to a lot of that generation of electro dance.

Cut and paste this part of the youtube link - rSrOJ1ig6tI
Hit the youtube button -
Insert the code you C&P, and stick it in!

That colourbox song is good, seeems a bit ahead of its time.

Watched more KLF, followed teh youtube hole here.....

Which got me thinking.....
It kinda seeemed like hip hop and electronica were tight there for a bit as they both hit the pop scene. Then they separated.
Or i guess it kinda went the way of trip hop when they did combine.
But, at least here stateside, trip hop never got anywhere near mainstreeem.

Goood lord, this video is hideous....
