Albodine Visitation & Funeral

Postby incognita » Sat Feb 04, 2006 12:27 am

The visitation is Sunday from 3-5pm at

Maloney Funeral Home
1359 West Devon Avenue
Chicago, IL 60660
773/ 764-1617

It's right on the corner of Devon & Glenwood.

The funeral is as 10am, and they will head to the gravesite immediately after.

can we arrange for the condolence thread to be printed out and left for people to read at the funeral or given to the family or something, I think they would appreciate reading how much people, many of which had never met him, thought of him

I was going to print it and give it to his mom. (I was going to see if we could put it in his casket, unless anyone has an objection to that).

You mean the scarf I wore at the bowling pissup? Might be a nice idea.

Sunday is a weird, limited, flight schedule. My airline only has one flight in, arriving at 330pm - and the last one leaving O'Hare at 540pm. Not really convenient to th viewing, but I'd like to be there, somehow. I'll have to see if I might be able to schedule something on another airline, or I might need to crash somewhere and take the 615am flight back home the next morning.

At Billet's request, I just put in an order for flowers from the board, here's what we're sending Flowers.

The card reads Condolences from all of Al's friends on Political Stew. We will miss Al and wish his family and friends all the best, in this, their time of loss.

Also, for anyone wishing to donate money, the funeral is going to cost ~$8000 out of pocket for Vera. If everyone agrees, I think we should just give her cash to defray her expenses.

Oh no! Albo's gone?

I just saw this, about 6 months later. Coming to terms with it.

I hope lots of you guys went and supported each other and Albodine's mom.

Jean
