Nutrax - for those who ever visited the TT and 'know' her

Postby leela » Sat Oct 12, 2013 10:58 am

From another board:

Mr. Nutrax collapsed suddenly last afternoon and could not be revived. He'd been in declining health, but this was not really expected. I am still feeling shocked, which is why I am up and posting at almost midnight my time.

Nutrax was a fount of practical knowledge over on the tree, and a lot of us owe her for that, and respect her very much as a sensible and kind poster. I imagine some of you might want to send a message of condolence. If so, I'll link this thread to her at some point.

Very sad indeed. I know that the past years have been a real struggle but this does sound unexpected. A link for condolences really would be apprecited.

Nutrax is in my mind the most wonderful poster on TT, very smart, very kind, crazily knowledgeable, extremely helpful and have a wonderful sense of humour. Her initiative and effort to reorganise the health branch for fuller and more accurate health information is hugely appreciated. She never hesitates to provide support to posters, both on those who have health related questions, or those having to deal with health problems of their dear ones. She is the perfect example of how a stranger with a good heart can very much help others in our time of anonymity.

Some of the older posters might have followed a bit of her long journey of taking care of Mr. Nutrax back to recovery years ago, after a very serious health problem, and their happy marriage later.

It's really sad to receive this piece of news. Leela, I would be grateful if you could give my sincere condolences to her because at the moment I no longer have an account at LPTT and I couldn't find this sad news over on TT after a quick search. I wish her the best in this most difficult time.

Oh, I'm sorry to hear this. My heartfelt condolences to you and yours, nutrax. I never had the pleasure of meeting Mr. Nutrax, but I have met nutraxfornerves. Pizza Wheel and I met her for lunch in Old Sacramento a few years ago and she is as delightful, smart, witty, and humorous in person as she is online. It is my honor to call her my friend. Take care of yourself, nutrax, and if there is anything I can do to help in any way please call me.

Nutrax has seen the posts so far, and asked that I:

"...please let the posters there know that I am very grateful and comforted by their kind thoughts."

Nutrax...Andy's post has reminded me of how good you were to me through my husband's illness and how your experience as a carer made you so empathetic towards my situation. And how grateful I was for your messages.

Oh Nutrax, I'm so sorry. I can't but remember with a smile the clearly loving relationship with Mr Nutrax - the posts in which you occasionally referred to the two of you were so full of love and happiness despite the medical problems you clearly both had to deal with. The advice you've given on the Tree for a long time has been remarkable - so full of knowledge and skill, and always doing so much research to assist complete strangers. Even the ones that needed a good kick up the backside! :-)

I wish you the very best. I'm so sorry for your loss.

Thanks crzypt. It was very kind of the mods to make this a sticky, unasked, and it's great to see that so many native stewbies have posted, even though it's a very long time since they were on the tree. I think that speaks volumes about nutrax, and this thread possibly being an exception to the normal rule here.

I am so sorry to see this news. Nutrax was both wonderfully kind and extremely helpful when my mother in law had a stroke a few years ago. I also have always loved her Get Stuffed posts. Her story during her husband's health problems was inspiring and I agree that she's the best poster on the whole freaking internet.

Thank you for unending information and counsel, nutrax, as well as entertainment; and I hope that you are finding comfort and succour as you have so often provided them.

Nutrax has asked me to pass on her continued thanks and appreciation for the very kind things that you have said. She is quite bowled over by the response here.
She also said that she received a very unexpected delivery of flowers from the mods at the thorn tree. She thought that news might mellow some feelings about the old place!

But on Thorn Tree I've always been under the impression that "nutrax" was a woman.

So how is your source "another board", that describes nutrax as a man?

Did I miss something? (Could be, for I didn't go over all the replies here meanwhile).

As for the "nutrax" I knew on Thorn Tree, at times she certainly enriched my life.

Ah, scrolled the thread and understand it now.

Nutrax, I'm very sorry for your loss...

I could wish for you that you were a true Buddhist. Fully aware and convinced of the blessings of "impermanence".

But I imagine that such a belief would only be a true relief, if your partner was convinced of the same.
