I see ImageShack has deleted joe's photos of the Bedouin in the OP for a violation of their TOS. I wonder what their reasoning was.

Fools, it says "or by user request", and given that I could not see any violation of any reasonable terms of service, I would have to assume it was by user request. Not sure whether Joe removed them, or more likely someone from this site whined to Imageshack and got them removed. Joe will probably tell us, he's pretty honest about stuff.

If it was removed because some 3rd party complained, wouldn't that have to be due to a violation of the TOS? I mean, you can't get ImageShack to take down somebody else's photos just because you don't like them.

OK, looks like it's possible that joe removed them himself, as I did with the above image.

The point is that there may have been no violation of the terms of service. Most likely Joe removed the photos himself.

Yes, you already said that joe may have requested their removal. And I did not dispute that. Then, contrary to your current supposition, you said "more likely someone from this site whined to Imageshack and got them removed," to which I responded that if that were the case it would need to be in violation of the TOS.

But maybe joe did request the removal. Maybe he finally bought Lamiah and doesn't want the photo of his 'bride to be' floating around internet. Maybe he wizened up and took my words to heart, recognizing that it is at the very least disrespectful to take photos of locals that don't want their photos taken, particularly when it is in violation of their culture. And that it was even more uncool to post such photos.

fools, the imageshack message makes it seem like there was a violation--the word "forbidden" suggests that. It seems an odd message to post if the photo had been removed by the account holder, which is why I thought maybe someone here had complained to Imageshack. But a small experiment showed that that is in fact the message that comes up even if you just delete your own photo, a fact that makes it seem more likely that Joe just deleted them. And he was probably wise to do so.

Not big deal, but I has also wondered about that.

I bet Lamiah found the pictures on Image Shack and contacted them directly herself.

I think she used to post here
Joe said "This report is from high school which reports 64% of Blacks are drug users at some level during school years."

But, the report said "Sixty-four percent of the Black males... currently used alcohol."

stranger things have happened. joe, for example.

i wasn't kidding about his hijinx maybe putting his family jewels in jeopardy. granted he was 'culturally insensitive', but jeez, louise. his example does help explain, however, why so many brits in the foreign service returned home to marry but never had kids.

Here I am, what a loser
Waiting for years to go by
Call me, call me, call me
I'm lonely at night
Time on my hands
I feel sad in the day
Call me, call me, call me
Nobody knows, home or away
What I'm waiting for
Call me, call me, call me

Come on, give me the magic digits and I’ll tell you all about my magic digits

Don’t tease me this way Joe

Could we get a picture of you with your shirt off or something of you that's NSFW?

That’d be hot

that should be 'dinar bills', assuming joe's in arabialand like he says.

do you know the james joyce story 'araby', from 'dubliners'? i've recommended it to perceptive middle schoolers, and adults, but i'm not sure joe's ready for it yet. might've saved him a heap of trouble to have read and digested it prior to his late misadventures, though.
