well, who could blame him that? camels, as you doubtless know, have some of the most beautiful eyelashes of the animal kingdom:

doubtless the bedouin luvverlies wish they were similarly equipped when being ogled by joe.

joe's been absent about 3 hours, to judge from the last posts, but it's 1:30 a.m. in muscat right now, so hopefully he's sleeping it off and will wake up in a better frame of mind (e.g. sane) tomorrow.

What an odd thread. I'd never pictured alaska as a place where real men threatened to give each other a bloody good telephoning.

I know, right? At my high school people used to say things like, "Meet me behind the handball courts after school!" when they wanted to fight. Here it's, "Call me at 555-555-5555 at 1800 hours Australia/Pacific time!"

I just hope nobody gets hurt. Ear health is very important. I heard hearing loss is associated with Alzheimers.

I’d call Joe but he never asked, have to keep it short until I buy some more minutes

I wonder what voice I’d use? Perhaps my blue whale with a speech impediment would be appropriate – I’ve been working on it a bit and would like to test it out

I can picture in my mind a world without war, a world without hate. And I can picture us attacking that world, because they'd never expect it.

Personally I think the faggggggottttttt accusations were pretty well laid to rest by the pictures Joe posted of himself with the lovely Shoko. Joe won that round. That was a really funny thread.

And Pez also nailed it on that thread...what's up with using homosexuality as in insult? That says a lot more about the accuser than it does about the person being accused.

Eye degree. If you look at the picture, though, it is Joe calling the camel a faggot, not the other way around, which is funny considering how many times Joe uses that as an insult to others himself.

I have to admit, I find Joe's spelling of "faggott" hilarious. Considering the TT/Stew-accepted spelling of "looser" and the endless debates over the spelling of "traveL(L)er," "faggoT(T)" just seems to fit in here.

I've seen it happen, though I can't remember who or when. Of course, it's more often the other way around, but I have seen it.

OTOH, unless Joe posts a photo of someone calling him a "faggoTT," I suppose we have to assume it never really happened.....

This one should go in famous threads as a textbook example of Political Stewers rounding on a foreign body and comprehensively mauling it until its completely destroyed, sort of like a bunch of white blood cells surround an invasive bacteria.

Joe tried, and he tried hard, but he's not really one of us, huh ?

I think joe got exactly the reaction he set out to engender. He tried, and it worked. If he is half the 'man' he claims to be, he should be back for more.

I think that's a flawed analogy, more like there's a bunch of rabid dogs behind a fence, and old Joe is kicking the fence to get a reaction and make the dogs attack, and then he sits there enjoying the spectacle. And it seems to me that Joe is usually one step ahead in this little game. I think the guy's is funnier than hell.

And I have to admit that I really admire the guy for living his life on his own terms and getting out there and doing the stuff he's doing.

Obviously he likes to get a rise out of people on the internet but he's not the only one. And he's pretty good at it.
